One cartridge per scent
A Zhithera cartridge holds 6.5 mL of oil and carries its own precision micro-mesh — the part that breaks oil into a fine, cool mist, with no water and no heat. Because the mesh travels with the cartridge, a spare is the simplest way to change scent: keep one filled with a citrus for the morning and another with something softer for the evening, and swap them in a second. The cartridge snaps into place magnetically on both D1 and D1 mini.
Made for pure essential oils
Undiluted essential oils, citrus oils especially, can soften and cloud ordinary plastics over time — which is why many diffusers only take water-based blends. The parts of a Zhithera cartridge that touch the oil are made from oil-resistant materials, including COC and fluorosilicone. Pure plant oils and Zhithera fragrance oils go in just as they come from the bottle.
Choose your pack
- Single Pack — one empty 6.5 mL cartridge, for a second scent or a straight replacement.
- 3-Pack — three empty cartridges: a small rotation of scents, or spares for the months ahead.
Both are supplied empty. Oil and diffuser are sold separately.
How long a cartridge lasts
On the lowest setting, a full cartridge lasts about two days. With Zhithera oils we suggest a fresh cartridge after about five refills. That is the point that keeps the mist at its finest, not the point at which a cartridge stops working, and many carry on well beyond it. Five refills come to roughly 32.5 mL of oil — about one 30 mL bottle, or three 10 mL bottles, per cartridge. With oils from other brands, plan on two or three refills.
Refilling
Turn the diffuser off and lift the cartridge out. Open the refill port on its side, fill with oil, press the silicone stopper back in gently, and wipe away any drips before you return the cartridge. To change scent, use a separate cartridge rather than mixing two oils in one.
Keeping the mist fine
If the mist thins, dab the surface of the mesh with a tissue or cotton bud to lift the oil that has gathered there — lightly, without pressing down. Oils blended with a carrier such as grapeseed, jojoba or olive oil are too thick for a micro-mesh and are the most common cause of clogging; Zhithera oils are made to the right viscosity.
