Brands, retailers, hotels and home-fragrance makers often need oil by the kilogram rather than by the bottle. Zhithera supplies both of its oil lines in bulk: pure botanical essential oils and designer fragrance oils. This guide covers what is available, how bulk oil is packed, how samples and pricing work, which documents come with an order, and how to start an enquiry.
The two lines behave differently, so it helps to choose by use before you choose by scent.
Both lines are low viscosity. Our blends are cut with a natural atomization solvent rather than a carrier oil, so they run cleanly in waterless micro-mesh diffusers, including ours. If you are building a range around waterless diffusion, the article on essential oils versus fragrance oils explains the difference in more detail.
Packaging depends on volume. These are the common sizes; other volumes can be discussed.
| Product | Container | Common sizes |
|---|---|---|
| Essential oils, under 500 ml | Amber glass bottles | 10 ml, 30 ml, 50 ml, 100 ml |
| Essential oils, 500 ml and above | Aluminum cans | 500 ml, 1 kg, 5 kg, 25 kg |
| Plant (carrier) oils | Aluminum cans or food-grade HDPE drums | 5 kg, 10 kg, 25 kg, 100 kg |
| Hydrosols | Food-grade HDPE drums | 5 kg, 10 kg, 25 kg, 50 kg, 200 kg, 1,000 kg |
Fragrance oils are also supplied in bulk. Tell us the volume per scent and we will confirm the container with your quote.
Natural raw materials move with harvests, weather and exchange rates, so we do not publish a fixed bulk price list. Each quote is based on the quantity you need and current market prices for that material.
Because the same stock serves several markets and warehouses, some oils can be limited by harvest volume. Please check availability with us before you plan a launch or a production run, and ask early for large quantities so we can secure the best price.
Samples are available for a fee, because natural raw materials are costly to split into small lots. The sample fee can be credited against a formal order placed within three months, when that order reaches:
Sampling first is the sensible route for any new scent: check it in your own product or space before you commit to a drum.
Bulk orders can come with a COA (certificate of analysis) and an MSDS. These documents are provided when the order reaches 1 kg or more of a single essential oil, or 25 kg or more of a plant oil or hydrosol. Smaller purchases do not include them.
Zhithera fragrance oils are formulated to IFRA standards, contain no added preservatives, and tested benzene-free under laboratory conditions. Their MSDS classes them as non-hazardous for air, sea and road shipping, which keeps freight options open. For background on what these documents mean, see understanding IFRA and MSDS.
If you formulate your own finished products, your formulation and the regulations of the market you sell in remain your responsibility. Our documents describe the oil we supply. Our oils are sold for diffusion and are not intended to be applied to skin or swallowed.
Unopened and sealed, our bottled essential oils and fragrance oils keep for three years stored cool, dry and away from light. Once a container is opened, use it promptly, and reseal it tightly between uses. Citrus oils such as lemon, sweet orange, bergamot and grapefruit oxidize faster than the rest. For bulk stock, plan order sizes around how quickly you will use each scent rather than buying the largest container by default. Our guide to storing essential oils covers the details.
Bulk and wholesale orders are not covered by the free-shipping offer on retail orders. Freight is calculated by weight and destination, and liquid shipments depend on what each carrier accepts on a given route. Duties, VAT and other import charges depend on your destination, and the route and charges are confirmed for each order.
These are three different arrangements, and each has its own terms:
Hotels and offices that want a complete scenting setup, devices and oil together, can start from our guide to scenting solutions for hotels, offices and automotive businesses.
Send your enquiry through the partnership page. Tell us the market you sell in and your expected monthly volume, so we can respond with the right quote.
