Designed scent, longer trail
Zhithera makes two kinds of oil for the same diffuser. The botanical line is single plants, pressed or distilled, with the shorter trail natural oils have. This is the other line: a scent composed by a fragrance house to hold its shape in a room for hours. Pick by what the room is for — a bright floral for the bedroom, a hotel-lobby accord for the space you share with guests.
What this bottle is for
This is a 100 mL bottle of fragrance oil, made to be poured straight into a Zhithera cartridge. It is the counterpart to our botanical essential oils: where those are single plants and smell exactly like the plant, this is a composed scent — a top, a heart and a base that unfold over an evening and hold the room. The fragrance compounds are custom-made for Zhithera by Givaudan in France, so a bottle bought next year smells like the one you have now.
The formula is bio-based small molecules in a volatile carrier. There is no carrier oil and nothing added to thicken it, which is why it atomises cleanly in a micro-mesh diffuser instead of sitting in the mesh. No water is added and none is needed.
The four scents
Orange Blossom — Bright orange blossom over citrus — fresh, with a honeyed sweetness. The lightest of the four; suits a bedroom or an entryway and anyone who likes a clean fruit-and-flower scent.
Top: Bergamot, green mandarin leaf, green notes. Heart: Orange blossom, white jasmine, orange-flower honey. Base: White musk, soft cedar, amber.
Bellagio Gallery — The clean, polished scent of a grand hotel lobby — citrus and florals underneath, amber and cedar to finish. The one to reach for when the space is shared with guests or clients.
Top: Lemon, jasmine. Heart: Lemongrass, rose, lily of the valley. Base: Amber, cedar.
Sweetheart of Blooming Flowers — A full bouquet of Damask rose and peony, kept from turning cloying by a patchouli finish. Romantic and generous; the scent most often chosen as a gift.
Top: Sicilian citrus, green notes, sweet pea. Heart: Damask rose, peony. Base: White musk, patchouli.
Eastern Elegant House — Opens on the clear green of fig leaf and unripe fig lifted by bergamot; jasmine, champaca and orange blossom warm the middle; sandalwood, cedar and vetiver settle it into a composed woody trail. Quiet, refined, and the most Eastern in character. Its woody base mists a touch more slowly than the fresher three, so a small bottle of natural diluent is included — wipe the mesh and add a little as instructed if the mist thins.

How far 100 mL goes
A Zhithera cartridge holds 6.5 mL and is refilled rather than thrown away, so one bottle is roughly fifteen refills. Measured consumption on the D1 is 0.14 mL per hour on the low intermittent setting (about two days per cartridge), 0.87 mL per hour on medium (about 7.5 hours) and 4.3 mL per hour on high continuous (about 1.5 hours — a setting for filling a room quickly, not for running all day). On the everyday low setting a bottle works out to about a month of continuous misting.
The cartridge mesh is a consumable. Replacing the cartridge after about five refills keeps the mist at its best; that is a maintenance rhythm, not a fault.
Fragrance oil or botanical oil?
Both run in the same diffuser: the cartridge and every part that touches oil are made from oil-resistant materials (COC and FVMQ), so pure botanical oils and fragrance oils can each be atomised directly. Choose botanical when you want the character of a single plant and are happy with the shorter trail that natural oils have; choose fragrance oil when you want a designed scent that fills a room and stays. Keep them in separate cartridges rather than mixing in one — the scents muddy each other, and swapping a cartridge takes a second.
Using it safely

Store sealed in a cool, dry place away from light, heat and flame. Unopened shelf life is three years; once opened, use it up within a reasonable time.

Safety data: an MSDS from PONY Testing is on file. Under GHS the oil is not classed as a hazardous substance, is not flammable (closed-cup flash point above 100 °C) and is not restricted as dangerous goods for air, sea, rail or road transport.
